Seminar to Discuss Marketing/Branding Food Products Set for February 24, 2010


TOLEDO, OH - The Center for Innovative Food Technology (CIFT) and the Agricultural Incubator Foundation (AIF) will host a seminar to discuss marketing and branding food products on Wed., Feb. 24 from 6 – 7:30 p.m. at the AIF, north of Bowling Green, OH.

Leslie Schaller of the Appalachian Center for Economic Networks, Inc. (ACEnet), will present “Foods We Love,” which will prove to be informative and beneficial for start-up companies.  She will discuss the impacts associated with applying a brand to products, the correlation between producers and consumers, and the benefits of maintaining a consistent message on promotional materials.

ACEnet, located in Athens, OH, is known nationally as a leader in helping businesses turn their product idea into a reality.  Their food product development and manufacturing sector provides a shared-use facility to more than 150 caterers, bakeries, restaurants and other food businesses every year.

The cost is $25/person or $40/two guests (cash or check at the door, payable to Agricultural Incubator Foundation) which includes great networking opportunities and light refreshments.  The AIF is located at 13737 Middleton Pike (St. Rt. 582) in Bowling Green.  Directions: I-75 to St. Rt. 582 (Middleton Pike), exit 187 (Luckey/Haskins). Travel west on St. Rt. 582 approximately 2.2 miles (AIF is located on the south side of St. Rt. 582).
