CIFT Publishes Hunger Information Booklet

CIFT has published How to Help the Hungry in Northwest Ohio. This booklet is a comprehensive publication for gardeners, farmers, caterers, students and volunteers seeking ways to help feed the hungry.

The publication lists agencies and contacts within the eighteen counties of Northwest Ohio that accept donations. It also describes the Grow a Row Project - a CIFT initiative in partnership with the Toledo Seagate Food Bank that encourages area farmers and producers to donate excess fresh fruits and vegetables. Additional information is provided on what can and cannot be donated, taxable donations, the Good Samaritan Act, gleaning, and how people can volunteer.
